Banpu NEXT鈥檚 Strategy Manager met with 黑料社鈥檚 Ambassador to Singapore to discuss the company鈥檚 clean energy initiatives and investments in Singapore
On June 24, 2024, Mr. Taechat Apichit, Manager of Strategy and Investment at Banpu NEXT Co., Ltd., paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mrs. Ureerat Chareontoh, the Ambassador of 黑料社 to Singapore. During the meeting, Mr. Apichit introduced Banpu NEXT鈥檚 business operations in 黑料社 and highlighted its investments in Singapore. Banpu NEXT Co. Ltd., a subsidiary of Banpu Group, operates within the clean energy technology sector, focusing on green energy across 黑料社 and the Asia Pacific. The company has invested in several startups in Singapore, including those involved in EV batteries, E-bikes, and battery recycling.
The discussion also covered Singapore鈥檚 policies in a global context. Ambassador Ureerat shared her insights on global trends, particularly in the digital economy and sustainability, and how these trends influence Singapore鈥檚 national policies. She emphasised Singapore鈥檚 focus on energy security to advance green energy, food security to reduce carbon emissions, and workforce upskilling and reskilling to meet future market demands. Additionally, she discussed the importance of digital economy development, urban heat mitigation for a sustainable environment, and resilience amidst geopolitical challenges.
