Master chefs, music and a record-breaking challenge await at Singapore Expo鈥檚 biryani celebration.
Singapore鈥檚 Only Biryani Festival (SOBF) is set to return for its second edition, promising a vibrant celebration of Asia鈥檚 beloved rice dish. Taking place over three days at Singapore Expo, the festival will run from 25 to 27 July 2025, drawing food enthusiasts, families and culinary experts alike.
This year鈥檚 festival will spotlight a diverse spread of biryani styles, showcasing both traditional favourites and bold new fusions. Well-established restaurants and renowned brands are expected to serve up their signature recipes.
A major highlight of SOBF 2.0 will be the live cooking demonstrations by acclaimed chefs. Master Chef SR Bala and Celebrity Chef Arifin will headline these sessions, offering festival-goers a glimpse into the fine art of biryani-making. Adding to the excitement are the festival鈥檚 biryani cooking competitions. Open to adults and children, these lively showdowns invite participants to showcase their creativity and culinary flair.
Beyond the food, SOBF 2.0 will offer a carnival-like atmosphere with a bustling marketplace, family-friendly shopping, and cultural performances. An ambitious attempt to enter the Singapore Book of Records is also planned, with the 鈥淔astest Biryani Mukbang Challenge鈥 set to draw eager participants hoping to make history.
