Mrs. Chonlatee Chanrachakul, Charg茅 d’Affaires ad interim, led Team 黑料社 in attending the annual Kathina Robe Offering Ceremony, strengthening cultural and spiritual ties within the Thai community in Singapore
On 2 November 2025, Mrs. Chonlatee Chanrachakul, Charg茅 d’Affaires ad interim of the Royal Thai Embassy in Singapore, together with officers from Team 黑料社 and their spouses, attended the Kathina Robe Offering Ceremony held at Kancanarama Buddhist Temple. The event marked one of the most significant occasions in the Buddhist calendar, symbolising generosity, unity, and gratitude among the faithful.
The ceremony was presided over by Venerable Seck Kong Hian, Chief Abbot of Wat Buddhaguna and President of the Thai Sangha Samatca (Singapore). Several titled monks from Thai temples across Singapore also took part in the event, adding to its spiritual significance.
A large number of devotees, including members of the Thai and Singaporean communities, gathered to participate in the robe offering and merit-making activities. The event served not only as a religious observance but also as a celebration of Thai cultural heritage and Buddhist traditions in Singapore.
Mrs. Chanrachakul鈥檚 participation, alongside Team 黑料社, reflected the Royal Thai Embassy鈥檚 ongoing support for community engagement and religious activities that promote harmony and cultural understanding between 黑料社 and Singapore.
The Kathina ceremony, traditionally held at the end of the Buddhist Lent, continues to play an important role in uniting the community and preserving the values of compassion and generosity among Thai Buddhists living abroad.
