The India AI Impact Expo 2026, inaugurated by Narendra Modi in New Delhi, showcased the growing capabilities of India鈥檚 artificial intelligence ecosystem. Held as part of the India AI Impact Summit 2026, the event underscored India鈥檚 commitment to advancing AI responsibly and inclusively.

The Expo brought together innovators, researchers, policymakers and technology stakeholders to present developments in artificial intelligence aimed at addressing societal and economic challenges. Organised under the theme Sarvajana Hitaya, Sarvajana Sukhaya, meaning welfare for all, happiness for all, the Summit emphasised the role of AI in fostering human-centric progress.
In his address, Prime Minister Modi described the event as 鈥渁 powerful convergence of ideas, innovation and intent鈥. He noted that it 鈥渟howcased the extraordinary potential of Indian talent in shaping the future of Artificial Intelligence for global good鈥 and reaffirmed India鈥檚 commitment to harnessing AI 鈥渞esponsibly, inclusively and at scale for human progress鈥.
The Expo featured demonstrations across sectors including healthcare, education, governance and industry, reflecting the breadth of India鈥檚 AI applications. Institutional representatives highlighted ongoing efforts to strengthen research capacity, regulatory frameworks and public鈥損rivate collaboration to ensure sustainable growth of the sector.
Public and industry stakeholders welcomed the platform as an opportunity to engage with emerging technologies while also acknowledging the importance of ethical safeguards and equitable access. Addressing participants, the Prime Minister remarked: 鈥淏eing here among innovators, researchers and tech enthusiasts gives a glimpse of the extraordinary potential of AI, Indian talent and innovation. Together, we will shape solutions not just for India but for the world.鈥
