The roundtable also examined cost considerations affecting businesses, the role of special economic zones, and opportunities for greater cross-border collaboration. Participants discussed how global and regional headquarters view Singapore鈥檚 role in a changing economic landscape shaped by artificial intelligence transformation and slower global growth.

Insights gathered from the discussion will contribute to the Institute鈥檚 analytical inputs to the Economic Strategy Review (ESR) process. The roundtable series aims to support policy thinking and provide industry perspectives on how Singapore can strengthen its long-term competitiveness.

The Institute thanked its members and stakeholders for their candid contributions and noted that the next session will include members of the ESR Committee, who will join business leaders to continue the dialogue.
