
Minister-Counsellor Zhu Jing visited Chinese crew members aboard COSCO Shipping Taurus in Singapore to mark the 16th International Day of the Seafarer. The visit highlighted support for Chinese seafarers and emphasised the importance of safety and wellbeing.
On 26 June, Minister-Counsellor Zhu Jing of the Chinese Embassy in Singapore visited Chinese crew members aboard the container vessel COSCO Shipping Taurus to commemorate the 16th International Day of the Seafarer. He was accompanied by Mr. Jiang Kai, General Manager of COSCO Shipping (Southeast Asia) Co., Ltd.
During the visit, Mr. Zhu conveyed greetings from H.E. Cao Zhongming, Ambassador of China to Singapore, to Captain Wang Zhenlu and the crew.

Mr. Zhu encouraged the crew to maintain safe operations and to prioritise both their physical and mental wellbeing while at sea. He wished them a safe and successful voyage and expressed hope for their early reunion with their families. He also reaffirmed that the Chinese Embassy in Singapore would continue to support Chinese citizens overseas and encouraged seafarers to contact Chinese embassies and consulates should they require assistance.
On behalf of the crew, Captain Wang Zhenlu thanked the Embassy for its visit and for the care and support extended to Chinese seafarers. He said the crew would remain committed to carrying out their responsibilities, ensuring the safe operation of the vessel, and completing their mission successfully.
