Chinese Ambassador to Singapore H.E. Cao Zhongming joined the Standard Chartered team and global leaders at Caixin’s Asia New Vision Forum to explore new opportunities for economic development in Asia.
H.E. Cao Zhongming, Chinese Ambassador to Singapore, attended and addressed ANVF Innovation 2026, held at the invitation of Caixin, where he had the opportunity to speak with the Standard Chartered team and guests from diverse fields to explore new opportunities for economic development in Asia.
In his address, Ambassador Cao noted that artificial intelligence, the green transition, and the restructuring of global supply chains are profoundly reshaping the global economic landscape. While changes bring challenges, he said, they also create new opportunities for growth.
For China and ASEAN, he said, true resilience does not mean resisting change but rather proactively adapting to it, strengthening connectivity, and pursuing shared upgrading. From trade and investment to industrial and supply chain cooperation, and from the digital economy to the green transition, he noted that China and ASEAN are continually turning their respective strengths into shared drivers of growth.
Ambassador Cao expressed hope that China and ASEAN can continue to work hand in hand to turn changes into opportunities and cooperation into growth, jointly building a more prosperous, stable and harmonious future.
ANVF Innovation 2026, themed “Disruption Meets Resilience,” convened over 300 global policymakers, business leaders and scholars in Singapore, with Ambassador Cao’s keynote address forming part of a wider dialogue on resilience amid global economic transformation.
