Mongolia’s Doremi Music School recorded multiple award wins at Music Singapore 2026, an international music competition that attracted participants from 16 countries. More than 900 participants took part in the preliminary and final rounds, with 395 finalists competing in Singapore from 16 to 19 July 2026.

The school, which co-organised the competition, said its students achieved strong results during the event, receiving multiple awards. The preliminary round began in May before the finalists advanced to the Singapore round, where they competed for three days.

Doremi Music School expressed appreciation to its students and parents for their support, including families who travelled 5,184 kilometres to Singapore for the competition. 

Doremi Music School also expressed its appreciation for the presence of the Ambassador of Mongolia to Singapore, H.E. Ganbold Uyanga, at the award ceremony. The school also said it looked forward to continuing its musical journey at next year’s competition.

Mongolia celebrated an impressive performance at the 7th Copernicus International Mathematics Olympiad, with its young mathematicians bringing home a silver medal, three bronze medals and a special award. The achievements were recognised by Mongolia’s Ambassador to Singapore, who praised the students for representing their country with excellence.

More than 300 students from 15 countries gathered in Singapore from 22 to 27 June 2026 for the 7th Copernicus International Mathematics Olympiad, one of the region’s prominent international mathematics competitions for young learners. Mongolia emerged as one of the standout participants, securing one silver medal, three bronze medals and a special award, reflecting the country’s growing strength in mathematics education and academic excellence.

The award ceremony, held on 26 June 2026, was attended by Uyanga Ganbold, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the Republic of Singapore. Addressing the participants, Ambassador Uyanga congratulated the students on their outstanding accomplishments and commended them for proudly representing Mongolia on the international stage while demonstrating the talent, knowledge and potential of Mongolian youth.

Among the medal winners, E. Erdenejargal, a Grade 4 student from Orchlon School, received the silver medal. Bronze medals were awarded to A. Chingunjav of School No. 1 in Dalanzadgad soum, Umnugovi Province, and O. Temuujin and B. Oyunomin, both Grade 10 students from School No. 1 in Kherlen soum, Khentii Province. B. Turbold, a Grade 6 student from Amjilt Cyber School, was also recognised with a special award for his performance during the competition.

The Mongolian delegation’s participation was coordinated by teachers Z. Dolgorsuren and D. Aldardelger from the “Az Bogd Aldar” NGO, whose guidance helped prepare the students for the international contest. Ambassador Uyanga also extended her appreciation to the teachers, coaches, parents and guardians whose unwavering dedication and support contributed to the students’ success.

Encouraging the young mathematicians to continue pursuing academic excellence, Ambassador Uyanga expressed her confidence that their achievements would inspire future generations of Mongolian students. She wished the participants continued success in future international competitions and encouraged them to make meaningful contributions to Mongolia’s development through their knowledge, skills and dedication.

Mongolian publishers and literary representatives showcased children’s literature and cultural storytelling during the Asian Festival of Children’s Content 2026 in Singapore.

Embassy of Mongolia in Singapore announced the participation of Mongolian publishers and literary representatives at the Asian Festival of Children’s Content 2026 held in Singapore.

On 22 May 2026, HE Uyanga Ganbold attended the launch event for the Mongolian children’s book The Daughter of Khuvsgul Lake at the National Library of Singapore as part of the festival programme.

Representatives and project leaders from the Let’s Read Mongolia initiative participated in the festival on behalf of Mongolia. The project is implemented by The Asia Foundation and has received support from the Lorinet Foundation since 2021.

The initiative has focused on strengthening Mongolia’s children’s publishing sector by supporting the development and capacity building of local authors, illustrators, and publishers.

During the festival, Ambassador Uyanga Ganbold visited the Mongolian exhibition section and met with project representatives, writers, and artists. She expressed appreciation for their efforts in promoting Mongolian children’s literature and culture to international audiences and wished them continued success.

On 23 May 2026, Ambassador Uyanga Ganbold also welcomed members of the project team and festival participants to the Embassy of Mongolia in Singapore. During the meeting, she highlighted the importance of introducing Mongolian children’s literature to global readers as a way to strengthen cultural ties and mutual understanding between nations.

High-level meeting at Singapore’s Parliament House reaffirms Mongolia–Singapore commitment to strengthening parliamentary and bilateral cooperation

A Mongolian parliamentary delegation led by Mr. N. Naranbaatar, Chair of the Standing Committee on Budget of the State Great Khural of Mongolia, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Seah Kian Peng, Speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of Singapore, on 2 February at the Parliament House of Singapore.

During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on the current state of bilateral relations between Mongolia and Singapore, as well as ongoing and potential cooperation between the two national parliaments. The discussion reflected a shared interest in enhancing mutual understanding through parliamentary engagement and dialogue.

Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening Mongolia–Singapore relations, particularly in key areas such as politics, economy, investment, and tourism. Co-organised by the Embassy of Mongolia in Singapore and CMM – Capital Markets Mongolia, and supported by partners such as StoneX Group, Frontier Strategies and Golomt Bank, the event showcased growing interest in Mongolia’s evolving investment landscape. The forum also served as a platform to deepen Mongolia–Singapore economic engagement.

Singapore and Mongolia strengthened bilateral cooperation on climate action through a new agreement supporting the implementation of the Paris Agreement, marking 55 years of diplomatic relations.

Singapore and Mongolia formalised a landmark climate cooperation agreement on 6 October 2025 in Singapore, aimed at advancing joint efforts to meet the goals of the Paris Agreement and deepen bilateral collaboration in sustainability and green development. The signing marked a significant milestone as both countries commemorated the 55th anniversary of diplomatic relations.

The agreement was signed by Mongolia’s Minister of Environment and Climate Change Batbaatar Bat and Singapore’s Minister for Sustainability and the Environment Grace Fu. It was previously co-signed by Mongolia’s First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Development Uchral Nyam-Osor and Singapore’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade and Industry Gan Kim Yong. Officials from both governments attended the ceremony, underscoring the importance of the partnership.

Prosecutor General of Mongolia attends the 30th International Association of Prosecutors General Conference in Singapore and signs a bilateral MoU.

SINGAPORE, 10 SEPTEMBER 2025 – A delegation from Mongolia, led by Prosecutor General B. Jargalsaikhan, participated in the 30th General Conference of the International Association of Prosecutors (IAP), held in the Republic of Singapore from 7 to 10 September 2025. The gathering brought together senior prosecutors from around the world to exchange expertise and strengthen collaboration in upholding justice and the rule of law.

On 8 September, Prosecutor General Jargalsaikhan held a bilateral meeting with Singapore’s Attorney-General, Mr Lucien Wong. During the meeting, both parties discussed ways to enhance institutional collaboration, particularly in areas such as professional training, legal cooperation, and information exchange.

The highlight of the engagement was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Office of the Prosecutor General of Mongolia and the Attorney-General’s Chambers of Singapore. The agreement aims to expand and develop cooperation between the prosecutorial bodies of both nations, strengthening their shared commitment to judicial integrity and effective law enforcement.

The Senior Minister of State is representing Singapore in Ulaanbaatar from 20 to 23 August 2025, as regional leaders gather for the 10th FEALAC Foreign Ministers’ Meeting.

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, 21 August 2025 — Senior Minister of State (SMS) for Foreign Affairs and for Home Affairs Sim Ann is currently on an official visit to Mongolia from 20 to 23 August 2025, where she is attending the 10th Forum for East Asia–Latin America Cooperation (FEALAC) Foreign Ministers’ Meeting (FMM) at the invitation of the Mongolian Government, which serves as the FEALAC Regional Coordinator for East Asia.

As a co-founding member of FEALAC, Singapore has actively supported the forum since its inception in 1999, contributing to initiatives that strengthen dialogue and cooperation between East Asia and Latin America. At the FMM, SMS Sim is joining her counterparts in reviewing FEALAC’s progress and exploring new opportunities to deepen inter-regional collaboration in areas such as digital transformation, sustainable development, and cultural exchanges.

Beyond the meeting, SMS Sim is also holding discussions with Mongolian leaders, including First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Development Uchral Nyam-Osor, Minister for Foreign Affairs Battsetseg Batmunkh, and Member of the State Great Khural and Vice-Chairperson of the Mongolia–Singapore Parliamentary Friendship Group Enkhtuvshin Dashtseren. New nonstop route set to strengthen links between Mongolia’s capital and Singapore’s vibrant global hub.

MIAT Mongolian Airlines has announced the launch of a new direct route connecting Ulaanbaatar and Singapore, further expanding its international network and offering passengers greater convenience.

Starting from 4 November 2025, the airline will operate nonstop flights between the Mongolian capital and Singapore twice a week, every Tuesday and Saturday.
